Modern Lyrics

From the time I was first introduced to modern poetry, I was fascinated by the sheer power of words. Although I like reading (and do read a lot) in poems at least,  it seemed that you got more impression with less words.
The more reduced the vocabulary the denser the  atmosphere because one has to concentrate on the content and ponder shades of meaning.

die Sonne steht, die Sphären schweigen

For me, it is intensely gratifying to grasp the (possible) hidden meaning of some sentence - this moment of seeing beyond the letters, it's an experience of pure bliss.Sometimes, music can touch me the same way, sometimes certain chords and melodies combine to an almost painful harmony.
